Prof. Zhuo Shi, School of Art and Design, Guilin University of Electronic Technology , China
He was graduated from the National Digital Home Engineering Technology Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University with a Ph.D. in Computer Software and Theory, who’s supervisor was Prof. Luo Xiaonan, the recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. He received his postdoctoral fellowship from South China University of Technology. He has been a visiting scholar at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the State Key Laboratory of CAD&CG at Zhejiang University. He was selected into the second batch of "Guangxi Thousand Backbone Teachers Training Program". He is currently a Microsoft Certified System Designer (MCSD), a member of the IEEE, ACM, CCF, and Chinese Society of Image and Graphics.
He is currently an associate professor and a master tutor at the School of Art and Design and the School of Computer and Information Security of Guilin University of Electronic Technology. He also is a part-time associate researcher of the National Digital Home Engineering Technology Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University, and a member of the Visualization and Visual Analysis Committee of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics. He is a member of the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Satellite Navigation, Positioning and Services of Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, and a member of the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Image Graphics and Intelligent Processing.
His research interests include image & graphics and intelligent processing, virtual reality and visualization, and digital art design. In recent years, he has published more than 70 academic papers, more than 30 SCI/EI searches, including Pacific Graphics etc. mainstream conferences, Computer Graphics Forum, Journal of Computational & Applied Mathematics and other journals. He has applied for 15 national patents, has authorized 3 inventions, 2 utility models national patents, obtained 12 software copyrights, and participated in the formulation of 1 provincial local standard. In recent years, he has presided over and participated in nearly 30 government and enterprise projects, including the national fund international cooperation project, the national science and technology support plan, and the 863 program. Now he presided over 1 national fund, and 3 provincial and ministerial projects. His postdoctoral research achievement ‘3D stereoscopic interactive comprehensive display platform for machine tool products’ represents Guangxi's selection for the 2012 National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Integration Achievements Exhibition.
